GOLD COAST REGION

Managing Director Geoffrey Mitchell has been involved in the Building Surveying Industry for over 30 years initially employed as a Building Inspector with the Albert Shire Council.

After 12 Years in Local Government he set up Geoff Mitchell & Associates in anticipation of the introduction of Private Certification. Geoff has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on Building Surveying. He has also lectured throughout Queensland on subjects such as Termite Management and Energy Efficiency. He is a casual lecturer at the University of Central Queensland and a member of the Industry Liaison Group of the University.

He is actively involved in the development of Building Legislation on both a National and State perspective by his membership of various committees.

NORTH COAST REGION

Regional Manager, Shane McGowan has been in the Building Surveying Industry for 30 years. His has extensive experience in the certification of large and complex residential, public, commercial and industrial projects. Shane has held senior positions in both local government and private enterprise. His special interests lie in the areas of building fire safety and bushfire construction.

SOUTH WEST QUEENSLAND REGION

Regional Manager, Allen Hassall has been in the building and construction for over 27 years and is a BSA open licensed builder. Allen has more than 7 years experience in the Building Surveying and Certification Industry, having worked for both Cairns City Council and GMA.

FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND REGION

Regional Manager, Clayton Baker has been involved in the Building Surveying and Certification Industry for more than 13 years, having worked for a number of local government and private enterprises. Clayton has extensive knowledge of North Queensland construction methods and is an accredited Building Surveyor. He holds additional qualifications in Civil Engineering.

CLONCURRY/MT ISA REGION

Regional Manager Larinda Turrell has over 8 years experience working for local government and private organisations. As a long-term resident of the region Larinda has specialist expertise in the delivery of Building Surveying and Certification Services to rural and remote outback areas.
